Wizards' Night Of Spells: 1st Harry Potter Book Night Indonesia ^_^

Assalaama Alaikum Minna, Konnichiwa!

How are you? I hope you got an amazing week! Mine? It was awesome and... magical! Yes! Because on one of the days of last week, Me myself and my @IndoHarryPotter Team in collaboration with Gramedia Pustaka Utama were... participating in holding the worldwide Harry Potter Celebration: Harry Potter Book Night!!!

Harry Potter Book Night was held together all around the world on February 4th, 2016, as the celebration of the official launching of Harry Potter And The Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Version By Jim Kay! I have talked about it a bit in my last post HERE but I'll explain more now. Harry Potter Illustrated Version is the exactly same novel we read before, but now with additional illustrations by the talented Jim Kay! So it's perfect to boost your imagination and please your eyes, and of course, will be a perfect bed time-stories for children! On that February 4, it's only the first Harry Potter Illustrated was launched, which means: YES! There will be 6 more to come in the future!!! Yayyy!!! XD
@IndoHarryPotter Prefects (Admins + Organizers)

Gramedia Pustaka Utama as the official publisher of Harry Potter books in Indonesia so far, followed the steps of Bloomsbury (The official home of Harry Potter books) to hold Harry Potter Book Night each year on the first Thursday of February. Bloomsbury themselves had started this since 2015. In holding this, Gramedia Pustaka Utama (including Gramedia and Kinokuniya Bookstores) were partnered with us @IndoHarryPotter. So we are the ones in charge of doing the mass publication, since IndoHarryPotter is the biggest Harry Potter Fanbase in Indonesia and had been trusted to hold many big Harry Potter Events ^_^

So now, let's move on to the...
Event Report!!!

The event was held in Kinokuniya Bookstore, Plaza Senayan, Jakarta. When we arrived, we could feel the Hogwarts atmosphere was on from the decoration and such. Surprisingly, we got more than 200 participants coming to the event! Wow! They registered themselves first, and got their wizard name and Hogwarts' house (in case they never had before, if someone says they already have wizard name and house then it's okay not to take it). After that, they were told to gather with their fellow housemates: Gryffindor, Ravenclaw, Hufflepuff, Slytherin (They actually just stood in a row with their housamates in front of the stage, since there were no seat available hahaha).

And then... the event... began! We sang Hogwarts song together, led by my Prefect Partner, Uncle Hadi who's then cosplayed as Professor Severus Snape, and Intan from Gramedia Pustaka Utama (who's happened to be a Harry Poter Fan too) as Nymphadora Tonks the Auror.

After singing Hogwarts Song, then the Symbolic Book Launching Ceremony. Anastasia Mustika Widjaja, Manager of Fiction Editorial of PT Gramedia Pustaka Utama handed the first exemplar of Harry Potter and the Sorcerer's Stone Illustrated Version to the representative from @IndoHarryPotter, my fellow Prefect, Rury (Dame Rury Sangrail), as the symbol that all Harry Potter Fans (Hogwartians) in Indonesia from now on could purchase their own copy from Gramedia.

The event then divided into two sections: book reading and games. Book readings were done 4 times by two people from IndoHarryPotter (Rully and Ayya), and two from Gramedia Pustaka Utama

As for the games, there were 3 games in the event. The First Game was the spelling duel game. In this game, participants, or let's just call them "students" now, were instructed to act like they were dueling. So basically, they were asked to portray the duel pose and the pose when they got hit by a jinx or hex or curse.

One student from each house came to the stage to represent their house, and they were asked to do a one-on-one (acting skill) duel, LOL~~~ and the winner was... the student from Ravenclaw, for his best acting skill! Hahahah XD

The Second Game was Spell Wordsearch game. So the students were given a paper full of letters and they were asked to find spells listed on the paper (pic below). Surprisingly, they found it quite challenging so it took quite some times until the first student said she's finished and came to the stage. Soon after the first one, the second and the rest came to the stage too, then their paper were checked by "Miss Notts, The Author from The Ministry of Magic" alias Odie from Gramedia Pustaka Utama as well. And from many students on the stage, only two were chosen as the winners for their fastness and accuracy.

The Third Game was... Trivia game!!! And honestly I was always crazy about Trivia Game, so I was determined to participate too! Well trivia game was, you know, we got questions and the fastest one to raise their hand would answer, and if the answer was correct, they would get one point. And... YES! I was the first winner! HAHAAHAHAHAH (?). How I love Trivia game! Well, the prize was actually a Harry Potter and The Deathly Hallow Book, covered in a paper that says: Madcap Magic for Wacky Warlocks, LOL XD Let's pretend that it was truly it! I also got a jar of Fruit Jellies from Honeydukes, LOL XD

After that, it was door prize time and best costume award! The doorprize winners from media invited got a free Harry Potter Illustrated Book, and each of the winning students got an original copy of the illustrations from the book:

That was the end of the event, so after that... it was PHOTO TIME!

I was sooooo happy because I finally met many friends, especially those I hadn't met since like... years ago!!!

This was me with one of my besties, Vika. In Wizarding World Realm, we are daughters from The Noble and The Most Ancient House of Black, hahahahah XD

Me and Vika with Nadim. Nadim is already like my own little brother. We used to spent lots of times together (with his whole family too).

With some of my first Harry Potter fandom friends :')
