Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Prism Shining Moon Powder Review

Assalaamu alaikum, Konnichiwa!

I rarely show my Sailor Moon collection, especially my Sailor Moon”Miracle Romance” makeup line, because I always think it’s better to give them an individual moment to shine by reviewing them one by one on my blog. This is one of them! Sailor Moon Miracle Romance Prism Shining Moon Powder!

Well, I know that the products had been released from long time ago and you probably have seen reviews everywhere, but I also want to share what I thought about them since I really love Sailor Moon. I think everyone knows that I’ve been such a slow writer, and the fact that I’m now focusing on my personal life and motherhood just adds the fact that I got pretty little time to take care of my online / social media stuff. How I wish to share more especially about my family life and my Sailor Moon collection. Well, here I am, presenting you a not-too-long review and I hope it’s clear enough for everyone to see and understand the product

PACKAGING

The design is taken from the 90’s Anime version. I think it looks so shiny and elegant and the gold color is just the right gold color to make it look luxurious. It's made of plastic. The “gemstones” ‘ colors are also bright and pretty.

Inside, there’s a small mirror (still with its plastic wrap, and I definitely won’t peel it off and use the mirror since it’s too small anyway), a puff (which is too pure and clean to be used, also I prefer using brush for powder so I won’t use the puff either), and a plastic film on the powder that makes it look like the pink ribbon & bottle pattern in the plastic film is from the powder.

You can see the powder clearly after I lifted the plastic film and put it in front of the compact's mirrorThe powder itself is in pink-white/yellow marble pattern and a bit shimmery.

CLAIMS

The description in the box said (in Japanese) that :
“The Makeup Powder gives the skin a soft texture and creates a bright skin with transparent feeling!”

MY EXPERIENCE

To me, this is more of a translucent, setting powder which is to be used on top of foundation. If used as itself, it will barely do anything, but if used on top of my favourite foundation, it will give a nice, moderate shimmer to my face as well as help the foundation to stay in place, control oil, and minimize the appearance of pores.

This is how it looks on my face, but don't give too much credit, because the right foundation choice is the key! Still, I admit that it works really nice as a setting powder.

I don’t have any necessary complain while wearing this, but it’s worth noting that this product is more of an accessory / a collectible, the quality of the powder itself is just okay for such a pretty expensive price, and we pay more on the packaging. I love Sailor Moon but I’m not a kind of person who loves to collect stuff that I can only “see” as decoration, so actually, the fact that Bandai release the SM merchandises in forms of makeup (which can also be used by ourselves) was what motivated me more to collect these Collectible Makeup Series.

So, this is all. I hope you enjoy this post, and I still have more to share from Miracle Romance: the powders, blushes, eyeliners, lip products... etc. Let’s hope that I’ll get some times in the future to finish reviewing and showcasing one and each of them! Hahaha.

Thanks for reading! Jaa Ne!
